If you are in need of a caregiver, we can provide a list of private
individuals who are interested in providing care for elders and
younger disabled individuals in Windsor or Windham counties -
a Caregiver Registry. Please call, write, or email
us for this information.
WE DO NOT screen people for references or do background
checks. If you find someone listed that may meet your caregiving
needs, it is your responsibility to check their references and
background. We offer this registry only as helpful community
service guide to help you in your search.
If you are interested in helping people or just "one"
individual stay at home successfully, becoming a Personal Care
Attendant may be just the work for you!
The Home and Community Based Waiver program in your area is looking
for committed, reliable people who want their work to be emotionally
rewarding as well as paying a decent wage. The Waiver Program
just increased it's Personal Care Attendant wage to $10.00 per
hour for Consumer or Surrogate-Directed Caregivers.
Training provided is specific to each individual's needs. You
may also receive payroll instruction and guidance from the Primary
Case Manager chosen by the elder or their representative (which
is usually, but not always, a family member). Work close to home,
help a neighbor or a friend.
