Bereavement Support Groups:
Brattleboro:
Brattleboro Area Hospice offers a variety of free support groups. Most meet at their 191 Canal Street office. If you are interested in attending one of these groups please contact Elizabeth or Melissa at 257-0775.
For March 2008 they offer:
- Mondays: Healing Through Writing. Ten-week group for those who have previously been in a support group. Facilitated by Muriel Winter Wolf.
- Mondays: Eight-Week Support Group for those whose parent, sibling or friend has died.
- Wednesdays: On-going Spouse/Partner Loss Support Group.
- Thursdays: Bereaved Mothers Support Group.
- Wednesdays: Good Grief Children’s Program. A six-week program for 5-7 yr olds who have experienced the death of someone close to them. Facilitated by Elizabeth Ungerleider (at Westminster Center School).
- Thursdays: * New* Bereaved Fathers Roundtable. Facilitated by Bill Warriner.
- “Second Saturdays.” Make Origami Cranes with guest facilitator and bereaved parent Ami Maglin while socializing with other individuals and families who have experienced the death of a loved one. For adults and children. Additional facilitation by Elizabeth Ungerleider and Elizabeth Pittman.
Woodstock:

The VNA will offer Bereavement Support Groups at the Rockingham Free Library on Monday nights from 5:30 – 7 pm.
March 3, 10, and 17 will be a Newly Bereaved Support Group.
March 24, 31, April 7, 14, 21 and 28 will be a General Grief Support Group
May 5, 12, 19, June 2 will be a Journaling Our Grief program
